Film Transcript / Subtitles
Hi, I'm Phyllis Diller.
You wouldn't believe what I went through trying to become an Air Guard flight nurse.
Actually, the real trouble started when I got in the wrong line for my physical examination.
Sixty-eight men and me got all the way to Station 8 before I washed out.
It was so humiliating because I had more muscles than any of those guys.
I'm kidding. I didn't really try to join the Air National Guard as an aeromedical nurse
because I'm too old, let's face it.
But it's a wonderful idea for you trained nurses who want to add excitement to your life in your spare time.
You become an officer and you care for the sick and the wounded being flown home from all parts of the world.
And because you serve only part-time, it won't interfere with your civilian nursing career.
How about it? Call your nearest Air National Guard base listed in the phone book under State Government.
Go girls, put a little excitement in your life. Hello, State Government.
