Film Transcript / Subtitles

Hi, I'm Bob Crane, ready to shoot another scene for Hogan's Heroes. But first I'd like to tell you about the important job a lot of experienced pilots are doing for all of us right now, today, in the Air National Guard. And many of these pilots have seen combat in World War II, in Korea, or even Vietnam. And when they returned to civilian life, they kept on flying for their country in the Air Guard. They fly in their own time after their regular civilian job is done. But that's a measure of these men. Men who are doing a job vital to America's welfare, even though it demands most of their free time. There are rewards in the Guard, of course. Rewards like friendships with men who have the same professional interests. Men who share the pure enjoyment of flying. But whatever a man's personal reasons may be for continuing to serve his country as an Air National Guard pilot, we can be mighty grateful. America will always need that kind of America.
