Film Transcript / Subtitles

Every year in communities large and small, floods cause damage and losses to millions of Americans. Until recently, there was no way for most people to protect themselves from this threat. Well, now there is. It's called the National Flood Insurance Program. In time, it should substantially reduce the impact of flooding. And right now, the National Flood Insurance Program can provide federally subsidized, low-cost flood insurance. But if you live in an area that has not joined the Flood Insurance Program, you're going to continue to be unprotected. Many areas have only until July 1975 to sign up. If they've not qualified by that date, funds will not be available from federal or conventional sources for buildings where floods could occur. Tell your local officials that you want the protection of HUD's National Flood Insurance Program. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out. Time's running out.
